Job Description

Rapp is seeking a Marketing Analytics  and Web Analyst who will participate in cross-functional teams and develop consumer insight through data manipulation, quantitative analysis, the use of research tools, web analytics tools, statistical methods, and innovative thinking. There are two open positions; one with emphasis in web analytics and the other an emphasis in marketing analytics.


Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will take a major role in the tracking and analysis of campaigns, both digital and offline, production of dashboards and other reports, evaluation and optimization of marketing initiatives, and generation of consumer insight and segmentation.  The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of quantitative analytical techniques and their application to direct-marketing programs.  Experience with analysis in digital marketing is a plus.

:

  • Bachelor degree in quantitative field, such as Applied Math or Statistics, Behavior or Social Sciences, Operations Research, and Engineering or Economics/Finance. 
  • 2-5 years experience working with data and utilizing quantitative techniques to solve marketing or business problems, such as campaign analysis, program optimization, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling.
  • MS Excel expertise – logical functions, lookups, pivot tables, external source data, dynamic charts and tables, editing and writing macros, VBA.
  • Data expertise  – knowledge of SQL queries,  MS Access, other DBs
  • Organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work both independently and with teams.
  • Web Analytics: Omniture, Google Analytics, Unica, WebTrends, CoreMetrics.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with external clients and internal cross-departmental partners.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business Intelligence: Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy, Hyperion.
  • Data: MS SQL Server, Oracle
  • Statistics: significance, error, sample size, ANOVA, design of experiment, SAS, SPSS
  • Online/Display Media: DoubleClick (MV, DFA), Atlas, Mediaplex.
