Sr. Digital Marketing Analyst

Candidates should possess exceptional tracking and reporting requirements skills and have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of digital advertising, web analysis, and website tagging.   These roles also requires the ability to design easy-to-digest dashboards (typically in Excel) and to write clear concise presentations for clients summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications in a straight-forward and enlightening way. 

These roles are not just about producing reports – they are about creating actionable insights – why is performance what it is?  What can we do to improve performance?   Experience using BI and statistical tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, Xcelisus, Qlickview, SAS, and SPSS will make you a valuable asset to our team. You will manage the collection and synthesizing of data for our clients. Strong Excel is critical – high comfort level with advanced functions including =VLOOKUP(), =SUMIF(), =MATCH(), =SEARCH(), =CONCATENATE() will be invaluable.  Data sources typically include: ad trafficking and email campaign programs, web analytic tools, media plans, and client databases. Scope of Position:
·         Participates in and/or drives the design and development of online measurement solutions
·         Develops clients’ digital measurement strategies and reporting of key business metrics for multiple audiences including client senior management
·         Designs, generates and manages reporting frameworks that provide insight as to the performance of clients’ website and/or drive to site online (interactive) marketing programs
·         Provides insights and develops recommendations based on measurement reporting and analysis and where appropriate to improve business, and marketing program performance and support forecasting efforts
·         Develop, maintain, and monitor various system applications to ensure capability, functionality and accuracy of information reported through both interpretation and analysis
·         Analyze, recommend,  and initiate new technological or business solutions to meet the needs of the client  

Specific Responsibilities:
·         Ability to synthesize data and provide business strategy recommendations based on data to deliver qualitative and quantitative analyses to support decision making across the organization
·         Evaluate clients’ business situations and implements appropriate analytic approach.
·         Manage key analytic portions of a project from start to finish 
    1.       Design research methodology and/or analytic framework 
    2.       Select appropriate tools and technique 
    3.       Data sourcing - coordinate data feeds and updates 
    4.       Data preparation 
    5.       Data analysis/Modeling 
    6.       Conclusions/recommendations
·         Prepare written analysis and present findings to clients
·         Active contribution to project planning and scheduling
·         Provide statistical consulting (e.g. working with clients and agency personnel to determine the validity and significance of observed program results)  

Technical Skills:
·         5+  years experience as digital data analyst or equivalent
·         Solid understanding of digital metrics, hands-on experience with tools, and knowledge of various digital measurement technologies such as: 
        ·         Experience using analytics reporting tools (especially HitBoX & Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics) 
        ·         Experience using DoubleClick reporting tools (ref DFA, DRM, DART Search etc.)…
·         Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
·         Experience with digital campaign metrics
·         Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
·         Experience in digital analysis and knowledge of infrastructure requirements to deliver measurement solutions and the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationship
·         Understanding of business intelligence, Database Marketing;  measurement, testing, relational databases, and campaign workflow
·         Comfortable working with multiple data files,
·         Experience with databases including Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, Access, etc. is a big plus.
·         Experience with Cognos and/or SPSS is a big plus
·         Possession of excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills ·         Ability to utilize SQL, Access, SAS or SPSS, Strata or other database packages a plus
·         Proven experience with attitudinal measurement tools such as Dynamic Logic and Insight Express, database marketing and web analytics
·         Thorough understanding of online (web) metrics, hands-on experience with tools of trade, and knowledge of various web measurement technologies such as: 
        ·          Website traffic analytics software (tagging and log file based) such as (HitBox/HBX),, Omniture SiteCatalyst, 
        ·         Ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART, 
        ·         Paid search engine marketing data sources such as: 
                        Google, 
                        Overture/Yahoo, 
                        Did-It and, 
                        GoToast
  
Knowledge & Behavioral Skills:
·         Solid understanding of marketing principles
·         Growing effectiveness and versatility in oral presentations
·         Solid business writing skills
·         Strong knowledge of industry dynamics in one or more areas of concentration
·         Consistency in delivering error-free work, on time, at standards that meet or exceed agency client expectations
·         Leadership experience a plus
·         MBA preferred
