Reports to the Director of IT Vendor Management and is responsible for managing one or more strategic technology and IT service vendor groups.
• Drives the definition, aggregation and prioritization of global demand and requirements for IT purchases.
• Understands one or more of the following IT industries (e.g., telecom, hardware, software, services, and licensing structures), and drives the development of the sourcing strategy and requirements for IT with Procurement.
• Manages the day-to-day relationship with external service providers and acts as escalation point to resolve issues.
• Ensures that the vendors and internal service owners create the proper operating model to deliver service against SLAs.
• Creates and deploys policies and procedures, metrics and scorecards, for IT to support day-to-day operations and improvement of service delivery with its key vendors.
• Leads and facilitates periodic supplier performance assessments, identifies opportunities to increase value from the supply base based on IT needs, and establishes plans for supplier improvement.
• In partnership with Procurement, negotiates agreements and contracts that deliver competitive advantage and minimizes risk to Intuit.
• Collaborative partnership with business owners, Legal, Finance and Procurement to understand spending trends.

Accountable for ensuring that critical and strategic technology purchases are managed effectively and efficiently by balancing the overall cost, quality and risk associated with IT spending and demand management.
• With business owners, develops and executes governance model to manage relationships of strategic vendors that drive innovation, value, and competitive advantage.
• Manages vendor performance and total life cycle benefit and cost.
• Shares day to day management of vendors with business owners and key stakeholders.

Implements effective policies and procedures that are aligned to the company’s overall business needs and strategy. Ensures Business Unit goals and objectives are achieved and excellent levels of customer service are provided by the IT Vendor Management Office. Often serves as the technology vendor subject matter expert to business owners and executives.
Qualifications: 10+ years of Information Technology experience in large high-tech industries.
• 6-8 years of relationship management experience.
• The appropriate candidate is knowledgeable in the field of technology procurement, i.e., Telecom, Hardware, Software, and Services; licensing structures, as well as license compliance issues.
• Strong technology contract negotiations, issue resolution, and vendor management background.
• Developed and implemented an effective IT Vendor Management strategy that had a high impact in a similar capacity
• Capable of communicating and engaging with all levels of management and senior leadership
• Experience with the integration of IT organizations (and technology contracts) during Merger, Acquisition and Divestiture activities
• Ability to engage with the business on business processes and practices associated with technology contracts and drive necessary policy or process changes.
• Effective teamwork, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences.


Preferred Education:
• MS/MBA/MA degree or equivalent related experience
