Overview:
 

The Interbrand Strategy team is looking for a creative problem solver.  Our organization demands the freshest thinking around for designing and executing research which yields perceptive insights. From concept to execution, research is conducted at each phase.  Interbrand prides itself on using methodology –both conventional and not- to make an impact on our client’s business.  The team operates hands-on in a fast-paced, multi-client, multi-project environment.  Interbrand designs, executes, analyzes, reports and presents our work and stays involved to ensure our clients’ needs are met. Typical projects might include both qualitative (focus groups, ethnography, one-on-one interviews, etc.) and quantitative (conjoint, discrete choice, max-diff scaling, latent class analysis, agent-based modelling, etc.) research and analytical techniques.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage research approaches, timelines and budgets for multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Design innovative research approaches and programs to support branding initiatives at all budget, timing and sophistication levels
  • Review existing client research to identify salient information and trends
  • Statistical analysis of research results

  • Combine statistical results with strategic thinking and business requirements to create a cohesive story and actionable results for clients
  • Coordinate with program management to ensure that timelines are met and knowledge is successfully transferred across the client team
  • Collaborate with the client team to develop strategic recommendations
  • Assist create client presentations
  • Troubleshoot client issues
  • Manage junior team members on day to day assignments

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to handle large, complex projects
  • Comfort with ambiguity and imperfect information
  • Working understanding of business processes and strategy
  • Experience executing research and analytics projects including questionnaire writing, drafting moderator guides, quantitative data analysis, interpretation of results and report writing.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, execution, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research
  • Strong understanding of statistics and their practical application
  • Strong analytical skills combined with creative thinking and the ability to present research in a compelling manner to both internal and external clients
  • Strong analytical and strategic abilities and organizational skills
  • Understanding analytics techniques including segmentation, regression, significance testing, and factor analysis
  • Leader and team player who has the ability to work with people at all levels in the company
  • Strong client leadership skills – can connect with clients and inspire their confidence and ongoing commitment

Qualifications:

  • B.A. degree; MBA or Masters in Economics, Statistics or another statistically demanding major desirable
  • 5-7 years experience in marketing, business strategy or in brand research and consulting
  • Experience in a variety of industries, and the ability to quickly learn new industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven multi-tasker who can juggle multiple projects
  • Advanced  Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Experience or proficiency in SPSS or SAS
