Overview:
This position will be based at the FedEx Ground headquarters near Pittsburgh in Moon Township, PA. In addition to providing direct technical support to the field, this position is primarily responsible for maintaining and improving internal systems for Operations Systems Support and Field Technology Support. Key systems include the OSS Calls and Inventory Database, Field Inventory Reconciliation, OSS and FTS Intranet sites, and various Business Objects datasets related to software version, equipment inventory, and equipment usage. Working with Applications Development to specify and test applications and application changes is a critical component of this position.
Position Information:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a technical or analytical position preferred but not required. Candidates with additional years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Work Related Skills:
Candidate must have in-depth PC skills especially using analysis tools such as MS Excel and MS Access. In addition, the candidate must possess proven analytical abilities and effective communication skills (both written and verbal). The ability to assess complex technical problems and provide engineering support and resolution is critical.
