Lead Oracle/PL/SQL Developer

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you have strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills and experience with AQ and RAC? Join an Atlanta based technology leader in high growth mode. You will join one of the most talented and technical Oracle teams in Atlanta to develop new applications for a complex, high transaction/high volume application. You will need heavy PL/SQL programming experience with Oracle 9 or 10 as the role will invole heavy coding work. The position will be about 80% new development, and 20% DBA work. You will also need Oracle Advanced Queue/AQ and Real Application Clusters/RAC experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pure PL/SQL Development
• Advanced Queues/AQ
• Real Application Clusters/RAC
• Ad-Hoc reporting to include potential reports application development

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Mid to senior level Developer with a minimum of 6 years experience
• Advanced Queues/AQ Experience
• Real Application Clusters/RAC
• 6 years minimum Pure PL/SQL experience a must.
• ORACLE 9.x experience a must . Any Oracle v10.x considered a plus
• Experience with Oracle in a UNIX environment
• Solaris and AIX light systems administration skills
• Web development environment background
• Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills.
• Broad-based knowledge of computer hardware, software, platforms, and Windows, and UNIX operating systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Able to work independently and productively under pressure
• Willing to learn application(s) and comprehend business side
• Transaction processing experience desirable
• Development experience with software development languages (Java, HTML, and SQL) preferred.
